Honda Classic Odds
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (TheSpread) – A solid and talented field makes up the 2013 Honda Classic, which starts on Thursday. Here is a look at the odds to win this PGA event.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Tiger Woods is the favorite to win this event, as he has 7/1 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Rory McIlroy and Charl Schwartzel, who each have 12/1 odds to win.
Woods is coming off a first-round elimination in the World Match Play Championship. He had won his previous event prior to that and has six top 10s in his last eight tournaments. Woods tied for second in this event last year and is currently second in the world rankings.
McIlroy won this event last year. He is No. 1 in the world rankings, but lost in the first round of the Match Play Championship and missed two of his last three cuts in tournament play. He does have four victories in his last 11 appearances.
Schwarzel is 14th in the world rankings and is also coming off a first round elimination in the Match Play Championship. Prior to that, he had finished fifth or better in his last seven events, including two victories. He placed fifth in this event last year.
