RBC Heritage Predictions
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (ATS Consultants) – The PGA Tour stops off this week at Harbour Town from Hilton Head, S.C. for the RBC Heritage.
Understandably, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and last week’s Masters Champ Adam Scott are not here. But there’s still a very good field. Defending champ Brandt Snedeker, who tied for the lead at the Masters after the third round, is considered the favorite at 14-1 according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv.
Most of the big games stayed home, but there are still some outstanding players including Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell and Aussie Jason Day, who was leading the Masters before bogeying the 16th and 17th holes.
Donald struggled last week at the Masters as his only round under par came on Thursday. Yet he still managed to finish in the Top 25. He’s played well here in seven starts, finishing in the Top 5 three different times including a T3 in 2010 and runner-up in 2011, falling to Snedeker in a playoff. He also finished second here in 2009. It’s time he stepped up and won this thing.
Weekley is starting to put things together. He has two top 10s in his last six starts, including a runner-up in Tampa. He also has two wins at Harbour Town from 2007-08 and finished T6 here last year despite having a disappointing season. His 69.00 scoring average is the best of any player in the field.
Longshot
The last tournament he played in was at TPC San Antonio for the Valero Texas Open. He tied for third there. He tied for 8th place last year at the RBC Heritage and is a nice value here.
