McDowell wins RBC in playoff
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (TheSpread) – Graeme McDowell battled the winds and Webb Simpson, but managed to come out with a win in the RBC Heritage on Sunday.
The field dealt with fierce winds on the lakeshore, but when all was said and done, McDowell and Simpson found themselves at -9 for the tournament to force a playoff. McDowell shot a 2-under 69 on Sunday while Simpson went with an even-par 71.
In the first playoff hole, McDowell managed to make par while Simpson just missed his par putt, giving the victory to McDowell.

Charley Hoffman came into the final round with the lead, but shot a 6-over 77 on Sunday to finish the tournament at -5 and in a tie for sixth place. Luke Donald and Kevin Streelman tied for third place by finishing at -7 for the tournament.
