Kuchar gets second win of 2013
DUBLIN, OH (TheSpread) – Matt Kuchar picked up another PGA Tour win on Sunday, winning The Memorial Tournament by two shots over Kevin Chappell.
Kuchar held a four-stroke lead late in the final round, but a bogey on his part and a nice pair of birdies by Chappell gave him a scare. Still, he knocked down a lengthy birdie putt on the 18th hole to finish with a four-under 68 on Sunday to finished at -12 overall.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Kuchar had 20/1 odds to win this event coming into the week, which means a wager of $100 on him to prevail will pay out an additional $2,000.
Chappell ended up at -10 overall after posting a 68 on Sunday. He finished three shots ahead of Kyle Stanley, who finished at -7 overall after shooting a 1-under 71 on Sunday.
Tiger Woods competed this weekend, but struggled all week, shooting a +8 296 for the weekend, finished tied for 65th.
