2013 PGA TOUR Championship Picks
ATLANTA, GA (ATS Consultants) – This weekend will mark the final event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, as the 2013 PGA TOUR Championship will commence in Atlanta. Who will win?

This tournament features the top 30 players on the current FedEx Cup standings and according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Tiger Woods is the favorite at 5/1 odds. Adam Scott has the next-best odds at 12/1 while Phil Mickelson is 14/1 and both Henrik Stenson and Justin Rose are 16/1, respectively.
Continuing with the odds to win this year’s TOUR Championship, Jim Furyk, Luke Donald and Zach Johnson are all 18/1, while Brandt Snedeker, Hunter Mahan, Jason Day, Matt Kuchar and Steve Stricker are all 20/1, respectively. Jason Dufner and Sergio Garcia are also 28/1, respectively.
Here are our predictions for the 2013 PGA TOUR Championship:
Scott won this tournament in 2006 and owns two wins his year, which include the Masters Tournament in Augusta when he shot a 297 (-9), as well as The Barclays at Liberty National when he shot a 273 (-11). He’s also second in the latest world rankings and has finished 14th or better in four of his last six events.
Rose won the U.S. Open Golf Championship at Merion back in June when he shot a 281 (+1) and claimed $1,440,000 in earnings. He’s coming off a 33rd-place showing at the BMW Championship but he did finish second at The Barclays two events ago. If he can play like he did at Merion, he’ll be in the running come Sunday.
Live Long Shot:
Boo Weekley (125/1)
Weekley has had a rough go of things lately, but he might be due. He finished 54th at the BMW Championship, 35th at the Deutsche Bank Championship, and 58th at The Barclays. But he does have one victory this year, which came at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial back in late May when he shot a 266 (-14). Maybe he’ll discover some magic this weekend.
