Horschel wins Zurich Classic
AVONDALE, LA (TheSpread) – Billy Horschel saved his best golf for Sunday, as he posted an 8-under 64 today to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans by one shot.
Horschel’s 64 was the top round of the weekend and put him at -20 overall, which was one shot better than D.A. Points, who finished at -19 overall after shooting a 7-under 65 on Sunday. Horschel has now finished in the top 10 of his last four PGA events.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Horschel had 28/1 odds to win this tournament, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $2,800.
Kyle Stanley found himself in third place by himself after finishing at -17 for the tournament. Stanley shot a 67 on Sunday. Bobby Gates and Lucas Glover each finished at -15 overall to tie for fourth.
