Henley wins Sony Open
HONOLULU, HI (TheSpread) – Rookie Russell Henley picked up a big win for his career on Sunday, as he won the 2013 Sony Open by three shots.
Henley had a stellar weekend, shooting a 7-under 63 in three of his four rounds, including Sunday’s final round, to finish the tournament at -24 overall, three shot ahead of Tim Clark, who came in second at -21.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Henley had 80/1 odds to win this tournament, which means a $100 wager on him to win will pay out an additional $8,000.
Clark also shot a 7-under 63 on Sunday to finish in second. He was four shots ahead of Charles Howell III and Scott Langley, who each finished the tournament at -17 overall.
