U.S. Open Updated Odds
ARDMORE, PA (TheSpread) – The second day of the U.S. Open is complete and Phil Mickelson has put himself in good position to win.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Mickelson is now the favorite to win this tournament, as he has 5/1 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Luke Donald (6/1) Tiger Woods (6/1) and Justin Rose (7/1).
Most, but not all, have completed their second round, including Mickelson. Lefty shot a 2-over 72 on Friday, which actually kept him in good position. He is now 1-under for the tournament and tied with Billy Horschel for the lead heading into the third round.
Donald was the sole leader at one point during Friday, but he ended up posting a 72 of his own for the second round, which leaves him at even par for the tournament and in a tie for third with four others.
Woods posted an even-par 70 on Friday, as he grinded through his second round and continued to battle an elbow injury that he incurred on Thursday. Woods is 3 over for the tournament and in a tie for 17th.
Rose is one of the five golfers sitting at even par for the tournament. He posted a 1-under 69 on Friday.
The 2013 U.S. Open continues on Saturday, June 15 and is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, June 16 from Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. For a complete look at the odds to win the 2013 U.S. Open, see below.
