Updated U.S. Open Odds
ARDMORE, PA (TheSpread) – The first day of the 2013 U.S. Open is complete and we have new favorites to win this weekend.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, both Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott are now favored to win, as each has 6/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Luke Donald (7/1) and Tiger Woods (12/1).
Mickelson is the clubhouse leader, as he sits at 3-under after shooting a 67 on Thursday. Only half of the field was able to complete its round due to weather, leaving Mickelson in a strong position.
Scott sits at 2-under overall through 10 holes of his first round. Scott has been putting very well thus far and is riding a strong streak of play after winning the Masters.
Donald is leading in a scoring sense, as he is 4-under through 13 holes of his first round. Donald is seeking his first major championship.
Woods is +2 through 10 holes of his first round. He has been struggling to keep his ball in the fairway and has missed some short putts. Woods also appeared to injure his left hand during a hard swing in the rough and it looked to be giving him problems during the round.
The 2013 U.S. Open continues on Friday, June 14 and is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, June 16 from Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. For a complete look at the odds to win the 2013 U.S. Open, see below.
