Woods wins 7th Cadillac Championship
DORAL, FL (TheSpread) – Tiger Woods had an outstanding weekend of golf, as he won his seventh WGC-Cadillac Championship on Sunday in dominant fashion.
Woods was solid from the start, leading after the first round thanks to a 6-under 66. He followed that up with a 65 on Friday, a 67 on Saturday and a 71 on Sunday to finish at -19 overall, two shots ahead of Steve Stricker for the title. Woods has now won 76 tournaments in his professional golf career.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Woods had 9/1 odds to win this tournament, which means a wager of $100 for him to win will pay out an additional $900.
Stricker finished Sunday with a 4-under 68 to get to -17 overall. Graeme McDowell was in the mix to start the day, but shot an even-par 72 to finish –14 overall, and in a tie for third place.
