Reed wins Wyndham Championship
GREENSBORO, NC (TheSpread) – It took a few extra holes, but Patrick Reed ultimately won the Wyndham Championship, beating Jordan Spieth in a playoff.
Both men finishing the tournament at -14 overall as Reed shot a 66 on Sunday and Spieth shot a 65. It took two playoff holes before Reed bested Spieth to collect the final win before the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Reed had 66/1 odds to win this tournament, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $6,600.
Both Reed and Spieth finished two shots ahead of the rest of the field. Brian Harman and John Huh each tied for third by coming in at -12 for the tournament. Harman posted a 66 on Sunday while Huh shot a 68.
