2014 PGA Pebble Beach Free Picks
PEBBLE BEACH, CA (ATS Consultants) – Who will win the 2014 PGA AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am? Let’s take a look at the competition.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day and Phil Mickelson are all 12/1 favorites to win this weekend’s PGA event, respectively. Hunter Mahan is also 16/1, while Jimmy Walker and Jordan Spieth are 22/1. Brandt Snedeker, meanwhile, is 28/1, while Chris Kirk, Graeme McDowell and Jim Furyk are all 33/1, respectively.
Here are our picks for the 2014 PGA AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
Johnson won the HSBC Champions so he already has a victory under his belt in 2014. He also finished T6 at the Hyundai ToC and has tons of experience at Pebble Beach with two wins in 2009 and 2010, respectively. He’s one of the co-favorites but he’s still a value at 12/1 odds.
Mahan had a positive outing last week in Phoenix, which was his best since his T4 finish at the BMW championship last September. He’s notorious for being a fast starter and with a weaker field this week, he’s one to watch at Pebble Beach.
Walker recorded a top-10 finish in each of his last three trips to the Monterey Peninsula, including a tie for third last year when Brandt Snedeker won. Pebble Beach’s short course fits Walker’s game perfectly.
