Byron Nelson Championship Picks
IRVING, TX (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The Byron Nelson Championship tees off on Thursday. Here are a few picks to consider for this golf tournament.
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, Jordan Spieth and Matt Kuchar are the favorites this weekend, as each has 12/1 odds. Martin Kaymer has been given 18/1 odds.
Here are our predictions for this weekend’s tournament.
Johnson enters this tournament 14th in the world rankings. After a great start to 2014, finishing in the top 6 in four of his first five tournaments, Johnson has hit a bit of a rough patch while battling injuries. He missed the cut at The Masters and was 59th last weekend, but as his health improves, so will his game. He was playing much too well prior to the injury to not bounce back well. This is the week he will get back on track.
Moore enters the tournament 38th in the world rankings. He has been having a steady 2014 thus far with two top 10s and six tournaments placing 26th or better. Moore has the game to be in the mix into the weekend and that is where you want to see someone you are wagering on. Moore will be in the mix and has the game to be victorious if he has a few things break his way on the weekend.
Live Long Shot
Cantlay is going to need a little bit of lady luck to win, but there isn’t a lot of risk in wagering on him. He is coming off a second-place finish last week on the Web Tour and had a win on that tour late in 2013. He has played in a handful of PGA events and performed well at times, landing ninth at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Cantlay is enough of an underdog to consider without much risk.
