Kuchar chips-in for the win
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (TheSpread) – Matt Kuchar dialed up a little magic, winning the RBC Heritage on Sunday thanks to a chip-in on the 18th hole that gave him a 1-shot victory.
Kuchar’s final birdie gave him a 7-under 64 on Sunday, which allowed him to overcome a four-shot deficit entering Sunday. Kuchar finished -11 for the tournament. Luke Donald came in second at -10 overall after posting a 2-under 69 on Sunday.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Kuchar had 16/1 odds to win this weekend’s event, which means a $100 wager on him to prevail will pay out an additional $1,600.
Ben Martin and John Huh finished tied for third at -9 overall. Martin shot a 67 on Sunday while Huh posted a 68.
