The Tour Championship Picks
ATLANTA, GA (ATSConsultants) – The 2014 The Tour Championship is the final FedEx Cup event of the playoffs and it tees off today. Here is a look at some golfers to bet on this weekend.
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, Rory McIlroy is the clear favorite to win this event, as he has 4/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Adam Scott (10/1) and Rickie Fowler (11/1)
Here are some golfers we like to contend for the title this weekend:
Fowler comes into this tournament having the best summer outside of McIlroy. He has placed in the top 5 in all four major championships and has finished eighth or better in seven of his last eight golf tournaments. Fowler is primed to be near the top again this week and we see this as being the weekend he gets to the top to cap off a great 2014.
Haas has also been in a nice streak as of late, placing in the top 20 in four straight events, including all three FedEx Cup playoff events. Haas finished runner-up at the Wyndham Championship a month ago and hasn’t missed a cut in all of 2014. His consistent play should pay off this weekend with a small field. Look for him to make a surge for the title on Sunday.
Live Long Shot
Hoffmann has been a surprise finalist in the FedEx Cup playoffs, but two top 10s in the three events will do that for you. He finished third last week after having a stellar final round. Look for him to build off that momentum this weekend and make a run at the championship. With a small field and no cut, Hoffmann has nothing to lose and is a good long shot play.
