Wells Fargo Championship Picks
CHARLOTTE, NC (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The Wells Fargo Championship tees off on Thursday. Here are a few picks to consider for this golf tournament.
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, Rory McIlroy is the clear favorite this weekend, as he has 7/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Phil Mickelson (14/1) and Lee Westwood (16/1).
Here are our predictions for this weekend’s tournament.
Furyk won this event back in 2006. He is currently 22nd in the world rankings and having a pretty solid start to his 2014 campaign. Furyk has finished in the top 10 in three events this year, including two of his last three. He has yet to miss a cut this year and has only finished outside the top 20 in three of nine events in 2014.
Moore is 38th in the world rankings, but starting to make the climb up to the top 30. He has had two top 10s and four top 25s this year. Though coming off a missed cut at The Masters, he has been strong in regular PGA events this year. Quail Hollow has also been good to him, as he finished sixth here last year and fifth in 2012.
Simpson currently sits 29th in the world rankings, but has been on a bit of dry spell as of late. However, we think this is the weekend that he gets back into the mix. He has finished outside the top 40 in four straight events, but he is coming to a course that he has had success at, as he finished fourth in this event back in 2012.
