Wyndham Championship Picks
GREENSBORO, NC (ATSConsultants) – The 2014 PGA Wyndham Championship gets underway on Thursday morning. Here are a few golfers to consider for this event.
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, Brandt Snedeker is favored to win this event, as he has 14/1 odds. Hideki Matsuyama and Webb Simpson have each been given 18/1 odds.
Here are some golfers we like to contend for the title this weekend:
Reed is the defending champion of this event. He won last year in a playoff. He is currently 26th in the world rankings. He has two wins on the year but has been a little hot and cold during 2014. However, with the field as weak as it is this week, Reed should be right in the mix to defend his title.
Harman is 65th in the world rankings, but is coming off a win in the John Deere Classic a little over a month ago. He has four top 10s on the year and has made the cut in his last four events, three of which featured major fields. He finished third in this event last year, so he has a history of success at this course. Harman should flourish this weekend with a less competitive field.
Live Long Shot
Durant is way back in 469th in the world rankings, but he has been on a real nice run, placing in the top 20 in three straight events. After a struggle to get on the PGA Tour and a slow start to the 2014 season, Durant seems to have found something that is working and we think it is smart to ride that this week.
