WGC-Cadillac Championship Picks
DORAL, FL (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The WGC-Cadillac Championship gets started Thursday morning. Here are a few golfers to consider for this event.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Rory McIlroy is the favorite to win this event, as he has 7/1 odds, while Tiger Woods and Adam Scott each come in with 12/1 odds.
Here are our predictions for this weekend’s tournament.
Despite a poor Sunday that kept him from winning last week, McIlroy is playing quite well as of late. His second-place finish last weekend gives him a top-11 finish in eight of his last 11 tournament and that includes one win. He has placed in the top 8 in this event the last two years.
The 16th-ranked golfer in the world is coming off a missed cut last week, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. He has responded well when he misses the rare cut. He has placed in the top 5 in five of his last eight events, including one win. Despite last week’s struggles, Schwartzel has the game to be in contention this weekend.
The American is ranked 36th in the world rankings and on a nice little roll right now, placing in the top 10 in three straight events. He has made his last 12 cuts, including one victory in that span. He doesn’t have a lot of big-event experience, but he performed well at the Accenture Match Play Championship and we expect him to contend this weekend as well.
