WGC-HSBC Champions Odds
SHANGHAI, China (TheSpread) – The first big-time golf event of the new season takes place this weekend as many of the top golfers compete in the WGC-HSBC Champions.
This is a World Golf Championship event being held in China, featuring a majority of the top golfers in the world. According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Justin Rose is the favorite to win, as he has 19/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Adam Scott (12/1), Sergio Garcia (27/2) and Henrik Stenson (17/1).
Rose is sixth in the world rankings. He comes into this event having nine top 10s on the year, including a pair of victories. He was fifth in this tournament a year ago.
Scott is second in the world rankings. He comes into this tournament with 10 top-10 finishes this year, including one victory. He didn’t play in this event last year.
Garcia won this event in 2008. He is currently third in the world rankings after finished in the top 10 in his last three events. He has 11 top 10s in 2014, including one victory.
Stenson is fifth in the world rankings coming into this event. He has eight top 10s this year, but is seeking his first victory. He is coming off a 31st-place finish in this event last year.
