PEBBLE BEACH, CA (TheSpread) – The 2015 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am will get underway this morning. Here are some golfers we think could pay off for you.
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, Jason Day and Jimmy Walker are the co-favorites this weekend, as each has 8/1 odds to win. Jordan Spieth comes in with 14/1 odds to win. This tournament will take place Thursday-Sunday from Pebble Beach, MPCC-Shore Course and Spyglass Hill.
Jimmy Walker is a play we like this weekend. He is the defending champion and he has placed in the top 10 in all three tournaments he has played in in 2015, including one victory. Walker has a history of winning multiple times in a small window, so don’t be afraid to bet on him.
Jordan Spieth struggled last week, but he is coming into a tournament that he has performed well in. Spieth was fourth in this event last year and the missed cut is an anomaly when you look at his recent play. Look for Spieth to bounce back this weekend.
Jim Furyk is another golfer to consider. He comes into this tournament with 25/1 odds, but that is because this is his first event of 2015. Don’t be shaken by that. Furyk was one of the hottest golfers to end 2014, getting nine top 10s over his last 15 events with seven top 5s. That consistency will be key in an event at three different courses.
