Crowne Plaza Invite Picks
FORT WORTH, TX (ATSConsultants) – The PGA Crowne Plaza Invitational is set to tee off this morning. Here is a look at some golfers we like to contend for the title this weekend.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Jordan Spieth is favored to win the tournament, as he has 5/1 odds. Zach Johnson has been given 14/1 odds while Jimmy Walker has 18/1 odds. The Crowne Plaza Invitational will take place May 21-24 from Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, TX.
Paul Casey has 28/1 odds to win this week, but he is a strong contender. He had to withdraw in his last event, but he has five top 10s this year, including three in his last four events. He did miss the cut in this tournament last year, but we still like him to win this time around.
Ryan Palmer also has 28/1 odds this week. He is coming off a missed cut in his last event, but he has also been strong as of late. He has finished in the top 25 in 12 of his last 17 tournaments. He finished fifth in this tournament last year, so look for him to be a strong contender this weekend.
John Senden is a bit of a dark horse at 50/1. However, Senden has finished in the top 10 in his last two events after a bit of a slow start to 2015. Senden looks to have hit a bit of a peak, so we think it is smart to ride it out. He is also coming to a course he has performed well at, as he was fifth in this tournament last year.
