John Deere Classic Free Picks
SILVIS, IL (ATSConsultants) – The 2015 John Deere Classic gets underway later this morning. Here are some golfers we like for this week’s golf event.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Jordan Spieth is heavily favored to win, as he has 3/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Zach Johnson (9/1) and Kevin Kisner (16/1). The John Deere Classic takes place today-Sunday at TP Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
Jordan Spieth is hard to bet against, even with 3/1 odds. He is a former winner here and has been the top player in the world in 2015. Spieth is using this as a tune-up for next week’s British Open, but with a weak field, he clearly should be in the mix.
Steve Stricker has 30/1 odds to win this weekend, but he is coming to a tournament he has done very well in. Stricker won this event three years straight, from 2009-11. Stricker has only played in six events this year, failing to crack the top 10 in any of them, but with so many top golfers not competing this week look for him to make a run at a fourth title in Silvis.
Harris English also has 30/1 odds to win this weekend. He hasn’t had a stellar 2015, but has been on the radar in most events. He has made the cut in his last four events and has three top 10s this year. Again, with the field a little weaker, this is a tournament that English should make a run at. Look for him to be in the mix on Sunday.
