DUBLIN, OH (ATSConsultants) – The 2015 PGA Memorial Tournament gets underway starting today. Here are some golfers we like to emerge as the winner of this event.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Jordan Spieth is the favorite to win this weekend, as he has 13/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (12/1) and Hideki Matsuyama (18/1). The Memorial Tournament runs today-Sunday from Muirfield Village Golf Course.
Rickie Fowler has climbed his way up to seventh in the world rankings. He has finished in the top 10 in two of his last three events and that includes one win. He comes into this weekend with 20/1 odds. Fowler has missed just one cut this year and is playing well as of late, so look for him to be a top contender come Sunday.
Chris Kirk has 28/1 odds to win this weekend. He is coming off a win in his last event, putting him up to 16th in the world rankings. He has now placed in the top 20 in three straight events and he is coming into a tournament that he finished fourth in a year ago. Kirk should be a strong play this weekend.
Jason Dufner has 50/1 odds this weekend. Though he hasn’t had a strong 2015 as of now, he is coming off his first top-10 of the year. We think this is a sign of good things to come for Dufner, who may have struggled due to a recent divorce. With that behind him, we think he can build off last week’s strong outing this week. He finished 19th here a year ago, so he can navigate this course well.
