Valspar Championship Picks
PALM HARBOR, FL (ATSCONSULTANTS) – The 2015 PGA Valspar Championship begins play later today and we have some suggested picks for this tournament.
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, Adam Scott is the favorite this weekend with 12/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jordan Spieth (14/1) and Henrik Stenson (16/1). This tournament will take place Thursday-Sunday from Innisbrook-Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor.
Jim Furyk has 20/1 odds to win this weekend and this is a tournament he won back in 2010. Furyk has quietly worked his way up to sixth in the world rankings. He has been in the top 15 in five straight tournament and in 11 of his last 12. Look for him to contend again this weekend.
Luke Donald is also a former winner, picking up the title in 2012. He comes into this week with 26/1 odds. After a struggle to start the year, we think Donald is going to break through this week. He finished seventh in the Honda Classic two weeks ago and with him coming to a course he’s comfortable at, he should be near the leaderboard this weekend.
Graham DeLaet has 33/1 odds this weekend, but we like him as a dark horse. He has placed in the top 10 in two of his last four events and he placed eighth in this tournament last week. Look for the Canadian to make a run at the title again this week.
