Haas wins Humana Challenge
LA QUINTA, CA (TheSpread) – Bill Haas fought off a competitive field to win the PGA Humana Challenge on Sunday by one shot.
Haas posted a 5-under 67 on Sunday to get to -22 for the tournament, which put him ahead of a group of five golfers that finished at -21. An eagle on the sixth hole propelled Haas to the win, as he was just 2-under par over the last 10 holes.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Haas came into this tournament with 25/1 odds to win, which means a wager of $100 to win will pay out an additional $2,500.
Matt Kuchar was among the golfers at -21 overall. He shot a 67 on Sunday as well and was in the mix for the lead all weekend. Both Charley Hoffman and Brendan Steele shot an 8-under 64 on Sunday to get to -21 for the tournament.
