Updated British Open Odds
FIFE, Scotland (TheSpread) – The second round of the British Open is not quite over, but Dustin Johnson continues to look like the man to beat this weekend.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Johnson is now a 7/4 favorite to win The Open Championship following Friday’s action. The other short odds to win are Adam Scott (15/2), Jason Day (9/1) and Jordan Spieth (9/1). The British Open continues Saturday-Sunday from St. Andrews.
Johnson is currently -10 for the tournament, which is one shot better than the field. He has played 13 holes in his second round and is 3-under for the round. He is a shot ahead of Danny Willett, who completed his second round and is at -9 overall.
Scott finished his second round and shot a 5-under 67 on Friday to put him at -7 overall. Scott is looking to win this event for the first time despite finishing in the top 5 the previous three years.
Day sits at -8 for the tournament and he has completed 11 holes in his second round. Spieth is at -5 for the tournament and has played 13 holes. The second round will resume at 2AM ET before the field is cut down and the third round begins Saturday morning.
