Will Tiger make the cut?
FIFE, Scotland (TheSpread) – Tiger Woods feels like he still can compete at major championships. Will he be able to make a run at the British Open this weekend?
According to the latest oddsmakers, Woods is listed with 25/1 odds to win The Open Championship. He is getting 11/2 odds to finish in the top 5, 5/2 odds to finish in the top 10 and odds of +100 to finish in the top 20. His odds to make the cut have been set at -220.
Woods has won 14 major championships in his career, including three British Opens. His last major championship came in 2008 and his last Open Championship win came in 2006. He has failed to make the cut in two of his last three major championships. He has failed to crack the top 10 in four of his last six British Open appearances, though he did finish sixth in 2013.
Woods is currently 241st in the world rankings and his 2015 has been something to forget thus far. He has appeared in seven events this year and has yet to crack the top 10 in any of them and has missed the cut in two events, including the U.S. Open. Woods also didn’t have a top 10 finish in 2014 after appearing in just nine events. His last win came in the 2013 season.
