Corales Puntacana Championship Betting Odds
Wyndham Clark is the current favorite but his odds are a whopping +850, which is an indication of how wide open the Corales Puntacana Championship is heading into the weekend. Thomas Detry has the next-best odds at +1800, followed by Patrick Rodgers at +1900. Joel Dahmen, meanwhile, is +2000, followed by Taylor Pendrith and Matt Wallace at +2200, respectively. Akshay Bhatia is also +2600, while Erik Van Rooyen is +2700 and Chad Ramey, Ben Martin, Emiliano Grillo and Nicoali Hojgaard are all +2900, respectively.
Corales Puntacana Championship Predictions
OPTION 1: Matt Wallace (+2200)
Unfortunately for Wallace, he went viral for all the wrong reasons last weekend when he was recorded in a heated interaction with his caddie at the Valspar Championship in Florida. The NBC broadcast caught the English golfer going back-and-forth with caddie Sam Bernard to the point where Wallace was shown telling Bernard to “shut the f— up and stop trying to get involved.” Nonetheless, Wallace has four European Tour wins and a victory on the Asian Tour and even though he’s drawing headlines for all the wrong reasons, don’t let that overshadow the fact that he finished T-7 at the Valspar Championship.
OPTION 2: Ben Martin (+2900)
Martin has finished top-10 at this event in each of his last two trips, which includes a runner-up finish in 2022. He also has top-15 finishes at a pair of difficult courses in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Honda Classic, so he should be prepared for the conditions this weekend. He’s been in the mix a lot this season so perhaps this weekend he’ll have his official breakthrough.
OPTION 3: Chad Ramey (+2900)
Ramey was in connection at THE PLAYERS Championship a couple of weeks ago and is the defending champ in the Corales Puntacana Championship. With the wind likely to be an issue again this weekend, backing someone that already has had success at this course is logical. Plus, with how wide open this tournament is heading in, why not back someone that should be confident? I don’t necessarily love Ramey to win outright again, but I do see him as a solid play in head-to-head props.
