PGA Championship Odds
KOHLER, WI (TheSpread) – The final major championship of 2015 takes place this week as the PGA Championship tees off on Thursday. Here is a look at the odds to win this event.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Jordan Spieth is favored to win this tournament, as he has odds of +550 to win. Other short odds to win are Rory McIlroy (+900) and Dustin Johnson (+1200). The PGA Championship takes place Aug. 13-16 from Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin.
Spieth is second in the world rankings and having a tremendous 2015. He has four wins, three runner-up finishes and a total of 13 top 10s this year. Spieth won the Masters and U.S. Open already and he finished fourth at the British Open. Spieth has missed the cut in the last two PGA Championships.
McIlroy is No. 1 in the world rankings but has not played since the U.S. Open due to an ankle injury. It is still uncertain if he will definitely play. He has three wins on the year. McIlroy is the defending PGA Championship winner and he has won this event twice and has finished in the top 10 in five of the last six years.
Johnson is eighth in the world rankings. He has one win and seven top 10s on the year. Johnson is looking to win his first major championship He finished eighth in this event in 2013 and has made the top 10 in three of his five PGA Championship appearances.
