Masters Championship Free Picks
The 2016 Masters Championship is set to get started on Thursday. Here are some golfers we think you should consider betting on this weekend.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Jason Day is the favorite this weekend, as he has 13/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Rory McIlroy (8/1) and Jordan Spieth (9/1). The Masters takes place Thursday-Sunday from Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia.
Jason Day has been on a roll for some time. He has back-to-back wins entering this event and has seven wins since the start of 2015. Day broke his major championship drought by winning the PGA Championship last summer. Now, he sets his sights on the Masters, an event he placed second in in 2011 and third in 2013. Look for him to make a run for the green jacket this week.
Bubba Watson has 10/1 odds to win this week. He won this event in 2012, struggled in 2013 and then won in 2014. He struggled somewhat last year, placing 38th, but we think he bounces back strong again this year. This is the one major Watson has really done well in. He has one win this year already and a runner-up finish, so his game is ready for this week.
Louis Oosthuizen has 30/1 odds this weekend, but he has been a steady golfer for some time and should play well this weekend. He already has a win this year and a runner-up finish in the Match Play Championship. Oosthuizen finished second in the Masters in 2012 and was 19th a year ago. He also placed second in two other majors, so he knows how to perform in this big events.
