The third major of 2017 is set to take place this week. He is a look at the latest odds to win The Open Championship.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Dustin Johnson is favored to win this tournament, as he is getting 12/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jordan Spieth (14/1), Rickie Fowler (14/1), Jon Rahm (16/1) and Sergio Garcia (16/1). The Open Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from Royal Birkdale in Southport, England.

Bet on The Open Championship

Johnson is No. 1 in the world rankings right now, but he is in a funk. Johnson has missed the cut in his last two tournaments and has finished outside the top 10 in four straight events. Johnson has three wins in 2017 with seven top-10 finishes. Johnson finished ninth in this tournament a year ago and has three top-10 finishes in eight Open Championship appearances.

Spieth is third in the world rankings. He is coming off a win in the Travelers Championship, his second in 2017. He has a total of six top-10 finishes this year. Spieth has played in this event four times and has one top-5 finish. He has placed 30th or worse in three appearances.

Fowler is 10th in the world rankings. He has finished in the top 10 in four of his last five tournaments and he has one win in 2017 with a total of seven top-10 finishes this year. Fowler has never won a major, but he has finished in the top-5 of this event twice in his career. He has been outside the top 10 in his other five appearances.

Rahm is now seventh in the world rankings. He is coming off a win in the Irish Open, his second win of 2017. He has a total of nine top-10 finishes this year in 15 tournaments. Rahm played in his first Open Championship last year, finishing 59th. He has yet to crack the top 20 in the four majors he has played in in his career.

Garcia is fifth in the world rankings. He has two wins this year and has yet to miss a cut in 2017. Garcia won his first major of his career when he claimed the Masters win in April. He has done very well at this tournament, finishing sixth or better the last three years. He has a total of 10 top-10 finished in The Open Championship in his career, including two runner-up finishes.
