WGC-Dell Match Play Odds
The annual WGC-Dell Match Play event takes place this week. Here is a look at the odds to win the tournament.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Rory McIlroy is the favorite to win, as he is getting 13/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (9/1), Jordan Spieth (10/1) and Jason Day (14/1). This event is a 64-man match-play tournament featuring the top 64 players from the World Golf Rankings. It will take place Wednesday-Sunday from Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas.
McIlroy won this tournament in 2015 and he finished second in 2012. He is currently second in the world rankings right now. He has had a nice run, finishing in the top 10 in his last six events, including one win.
Johnson is first in the world rankings. He has won his last two tournaments and has finished sixth or better in eight of his last 10 events, including three wins.
Spieth is sixth in the world rankings. He has finished outside the top 10 in his last two events, but had finished in the top 10 in five straight prior to that, including two wins.
Day has won this event two times in his career and is the defending champion. He is currently third in the world rankings, but has finished outside the top 10 in seven of his last eight tournament.
