WGC-HSBC Champions Odds
Some of the best golfers in the world come together this week to compete in the WGC-HSBC Champions, the latest World Golf Championship event.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Rory McIlory is favored to win this week, as he has 5/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (11/2), Henrik Stenson (20/1) and Hideki Matsuyama (20/1). The WGC-HSBC Champions takes place Oct. 27-30 from Sheshan International in Shanghai, China.
McIlroy is third in the current world rankings and coming off a FedEx Cup victory last month. He has won three times in 2016, including two of his last three events. He finished 11th in this event last year, but has finished in the top 6 four of the last five times he has competed in this event.
Johnson was the 2013 winner of this tournament and he placed fifth last year. Johnson is currently second in the world rankings. He has three wins in 2016 and has finished in the top 10 in his last three tournaments.
Stenson is fifth in the world rankings. He has two wins this year and they have come over his last seven tournaments. He has yet to crack the top 10 of this event in five appearances.
Matsuyama is 10th in the world rankings. He is coming off a runner-up finish last week in the CIMB Classic and has finished in the top 5 in three straight events, including one win. He has played in this event three times, but not finished better than 41st.
