Hero World Challenge Picks
The Hero World Challenge is set to begin play on Thursday. Here are some of the golfers we like to contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Justin Thomas is favored to win this tournament, as he is listed with 11/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Jordan Spieth and Dustin Johnson (6/1). The Hero World Challenge takes place Thursday-Sunday from Albany in New Providence, Bahamas.
Bet on the Hero World Challenge
Justin Thomas may be ranked third in the world, but he is playing as well as anyone right now. Thomas has racked up five wins in the 2017 season and is coming off a win in the CJ Cup as well. Thomas has finished first or second in four of his last seven tournaments. I think Thomas will continue his strong play this weekend and push for another win.
Jordan Spieth is on a pretty nice run right now as well. He has won three tournaments this year to go with a total of 12 top-10 finishes. Spieth has finished in the top 8 in five straight events and in seven of his last nine, which includes two wins. Spieth has done just fine in this tournament as well, so I expect he will make a run at winning this weekend.
Henrik Stenson has 16/1 odds to win this weekend, but this has been a very good tournament for him. He has finished second in two of the last three years, including in 2016. Stenson has been somewhat forgotten, but he is still eighth in the world rankings and has seven top-10 finishes this year. Heading to a tournament that he has been very good at, I look for Stenson to be a nice dark horse option to win in this small field.
