Some of the best golfers in the world come together for the final golfing event of 2018 when they compete in the Hero World Challenge this week. Here’s a look at the odds to win.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Justin Rose is the favorite to win, as he has 7/1 odds to prevail. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (8/1), Justin Thomas (9/1), Rickie Fowler (9/1) and Tiger Woods (9/1). The Hero World Challenge takes place Thursday-Sunday from Albany Golf Club in Albany, The Bahamas.

Rose is second in the world rankings entering this tournament. He has two wins on the year to go along with a total of 14 top-10 finishes. He has placed in the top eight in six straight tournaments and in the top 5 in five of those. Rose finished fifth in this event last year.
Johnson is third in the world rankings entering this event. He has three wins in 2018 to go along with 12 top-10 finishes. Johnson has finished outside the top 10 in four of their last six events. DJ finished 14th in this tournament a year ago.
Thomas is fourth in the world rankings. He has two wins in 2018 with a total of 11 top-10 finishes. Thomas has placed in the top 10 in five of his last eight tournaments. He finished 11th in this tournament a year ago.
Fowler is the defending champion of this event. He comes into the weekend ninth in the world rankings. He is winless in the 2018 year with seven top-10 finishes. Fowler has placed in the top 10 in three of his last four tournaments.
Woods has won this tournament five times, last doing so in 2011. He is 13th in the world rankings right now after winning the TOUR Championship. It was his first win since 2013. Woods played in The Match, against Phil Mickelson, last week but didn’t look on his game.
