Jason Day an 11/2 favorite to win the PGA BMW Championship this week

The PGA Tour is back in action this week with the third leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs as golfers compete in the BMW Championship.

This tournament features the top 70 players remaining in the FedEx Cup standings. According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, Jason Day is the favorite this week, as he has 11/2 odds to win. The other short odds to win are Rory McIlroy (15/2), Jordan Spieth (10/1) and Henrik Stenson (11/1). The BMW Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from TPC Boston in Norton, Mass.

Day is third in the world rankings and he is having the best year of his career. He has four wins with one major championship. He has finished 12th or better in seven straight events, including three wins.

McIlroy is No. 1 in the world rankings. He has three wins on the year with a total of eight top-10 finishes. He has won two of his last eight events. McIlroy finished eighth in this event last year.

Spieth is second in the world rankings but in the midst of some real struggles. He has missed the cut in his last two events, giving him four on the year. Spieth has four wins in 2015 with 14 top-10 finishes. He finished eighth in this event last year.

Stenson is sixth in the world rankings. He has finished second in the first two FedEx Cup playoff events. Stenson has yet to win this year, but he has a total of seven top-10 finishes. Stenson was 23rd in this tournament last year.
