Spieth a TOC favorite
The PGA Season gets back into full swing this week with the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Here is a look at the odds for this week’s tournament.
According to oddsmkers from RealBets, Jordan Spieth is the favorite to win this week, as he has +380 odds. Other short odds to win are Jason Day (+450) and Dustin Johnson (+725). The Hyundai Tournament of Champions takes place Jan. 7-10 at Kapalua Resort.
Spieth is No. 1 in the world rankings. He had five wins and 18 top top-10 finishes a year ago. He has finished seventh or better in his last four outings, including one win.
Day is second in the world rankings. He had five wins a year ago with a total of 11 top-10 finishes. He finished third in this event a year ago and has finished 12th or better in nine straight events, including four wins.
Johnson won this tournament in 2013. He is eighth in the current world rankings and coming off a one-win 2015 season. He has finished in the top 15 in four of his last five tournaments.
