Bridgestone Invitational Odds
AKRON, OH (TheSpread) – The World Golf Championship hosts its next event this week as the top players compete in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
According to oddsmakers from GTBets, Jordan Spieth is favored to win this event, as he has 5/1 odds while Dustin Johnson and Jason Day each have 16/1 odds. The WGC-Bridgestone Invitational takes place Aug. 6-9 from Firestone Country Club in Akron.
Spieth is second in the world rankings and coming off a fourth-place finish in the British Open. Spieth has four wins on the year with three second-place finishes. He finished 49th a year ago in this event.
Day is fourth in the world rankings. He is coming off a win in the RBC Canadian Open. Day has two wins and a total of seven top 10s on the year. He had to withdraw from this event last year.
Johnson is seventh in the world rankings. He is coming off a 49th-place finish at the British Open despite being the leader after two rounds. Johnson has one win and seven top 10s this year. He didn’t play in this tournament last year.
