SAN ANTONIO, TX (TheSpread) – The PGA Tour heads to Texas this week for the Valero Texas Open. Here is a look at the odds to win this golf tournament.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Jordan Spieth is the favorite to win this week, as he has 8/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (9/1) and Jimmy Walker (20/1). This event will be held March 26-29 from AT&T Oaks Course in San Antonio.
Spieth is sixth in the world rankings and coming off a win in the Valspar Championship two weeks ago. He has finished in the top 10 in three of his last four events and he finished 10th last year in this tournament.
Johnson is ninth in the world rankings. He is also coming off a win, in the Cadillac Championship three weeks ago. He has finished in the top 5 in three of his last four outings. He didn’t play in this event last year.
Walker is 13th in the world rankings. He has been struggling as of late, finishing outside the top 20 in his last three events. However, he does have a win in 2015, as he prevailed in the Sony Open. He finished 16th in this event last year.
