AT&T Byron Nelson Predictions
The PGA Tour heads to North Carolina this weekend for the playing of the AT&T Byron Nelson. Here’s three golfers we think will contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Brooks Kopeka is favored to win this weekend, as he is listed with 13/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Hideki Matsuyama (16/1), Jordan Spieth (18/1) and Aaron Wise (22/1). The 2019 AT&T Byron Nelson takes place Thursday-Sunday from Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas.
1000 Brooks Koepka 13/2
At third in the world rankings, Koepka is the best player in this weekend’s field. He also is a former runner-up, so I believe he can handle himself just fine here this weekend. Koepka is playing well right now. He is coming off a runner-up finish at The Masters weeks ago and has three top-10 finishes on the year. With this being a tune up for next week’s PGA Championship, I expect good things from Koepka this weekend.
1004 Henrik Stenson 25/1
Stenson hasn’t been great in 2019, as he sits 40th in the world rankings. This year he has already missed four cuts, but he has made his last four cuts, including a top-10 finish. With the field being so light, I think Stenson should be able to climb up the leaderboard. This could be the weekend he breaks out of his winless slump.
1016 Rory Sabbatini 40/1
Sabbatini hasn’t won a tournament since 2011, so certainly that is a concern. However, I think he has some great value this weekend. Sabbatini has made the cut in seven straight tournaments, including three top-20 finishes. He has been inside the top 20 in his last two events and I think he can continue that momentum at an event that is lacking in much star power.
