Pebble Beach Pro-Am Picks
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am gets underway later this morning. Which golfers should you put your money on this weekend?
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Jordan Spieth is a 9/2 favorite to win this week’s tournament while Jason Day has 9/1 odds and Dustin Johnson has 10/1 odds to win. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am takes place Thursday-Sunday from a number of courses in Pebble Beach, CA.
Jordan Spieth is nearly impossible to ignore at this point. When he plays, you almost have to expect him to win. The No. 1-ranked golfer has finished in the top 5 of all three events this year and he has finished in the top 7 in seven straight, including two wins.
Dustin Johnson is a two-time winner of this tournament and has good value at 10/1 to win. Last year he finished fourth, so clearly this is a tournament he flourishes in. He has been in the top 20 in six of his last seven events and should have another strong showing this weekend.
Brooks Koepka is somewhat of a dark horse with 33/1 odds to win, but he has value with those odds. If it wasn’t for tremendous years from Spieth and Jason Day, Koepka would have been in the discussion for player of the year last year. He had one win with a total of eight top-10 finishes, jumping up to 19th in the world rankings. He already has a third-place finish this year and has finished in the top 10 in three of his last six outings. Look for Koepka to contend this weekend.
