BMW Championship Predictions
The 2019 FedEx Cup Playoffs continue today with the top 70 players remaining battling in the BMW Championship. Here’s a look at the golfers we like to contend for the win this weekend.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Brooks Koepka and Rory McIlroy are co-favorites to win, as each is listed with 8/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jon Rahm (10/1) and Dustin Johnson (14/1). The 2019 BMW Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois.

Rose is someone that seems like a sure thing this weekend. He is a former winner of this event and has finished second the last two years. He went into a playoff last year. Rose is fourth in the world rankings, but gets lost in the shuffle of Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson. He is as steady as anyone and has finished 13th or better in four of his last five tournaments. I like Rose to be the man to beat this weekend.

Simpson is having a great finish to the season. While he hasn’t won, he has posted four top-10 finishes since The Masters. That includes three runner-up finishes. He also hasn’t missed a cut since April. I like that kind of consistency when you get to this stage of the season. Consistency pays off in the playoffs and he won’t be rattled by the talented field. Given his strong year, I think Simpson could grab the win this weekend to really complete the comeback.

2019 hasn’t been the year of Rickie Fowler, but there are reasons to like him this weekend. He finished runner-up in this event just two years ago and he is coming off a missed cut. While missing a cut isn’t good, he has bounced back the previous two times that has happened this year. He placed 14th in The Memorial after missing a cut and then was sixth in The British Open after missing the cut the week prior. Fowler is a golfer that lives in the moment and doesn’t dwell on a bad outing. I like him to bounce back this weekend and possibly grab the win for a big payday for you.
