BMW Championship Predictions
The third stage of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the BMW Championship, gets started on Thursday morning. Here are some of the golfers we like to contend for the win.
The BMW Championship features the top 70 players in the current FedEx Cup standings and is the third of four playoff events. According to the latest oddsmakers, Dustin Johnson is favored to win this week. He has 15/2 odds to prevail. Other short odds to win are Justin Rose (12/1), Justin Thomas (14/1) and Brooks Koepka (14/1). The BMW Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
63001 Dustin Johnson 15/2
Johnson is a two-time winner of this tournament and is holding on to his No. 1 ranking in the world right now. DJ has finished 11th and seventh in the first two playoff events, respectively, and has always performed pretty well in these playoff tournaments. This year, DJ has three wins and 11 top-10 finishes. He has finished 11th or better in seven of his last nine tournaments.
63005 Bryson DeChambeau 16/1
DeChambeau is having a breakout finish to 2018, similar to what Justin Thomas did last year on his way to the FedEx Cup championship. DeChambeau has won the first two playoff events and won comfortably. He has three wins on the year with eight top-10 finishes. Always showing promise, the young DeChambeau seems to be finally showing he can be one of the world’s best. He sits seventh in the world rankings and should continue his hot streak this weekend.
63010 Rickie Fowler 25/1
Fowler still remains a top-10 player in the world rankings, sitting ninth entering this week. Fowler hasn’t played in the first two playoff events, but comes into this week placing in the top 30 in eight straight events, including seven top-20 finishes and two top-10 finishes. Fowler has shown pretty good consistency this year despite not getting a victory. I think this week he can break through the pack and get the championship.
