According to the latest oddsmakers, Tiger Woods is the slight favorite entering the week, as he is listed with 9/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (10/1), Brooks Koepka (11/1) and Rory McIlroy (12/1). The 2019 PGA Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York
Tiger Woods is sixth in the world rankings. He hasn’t played since winning The Masters a month ago, his first major championship since 2008. Woods now has 15 major titles in his career, including four PGA Championships. Woods also won a U.S. Open title at Bethpage Black in 2002. Tiger has finished in the top 6 of the last three majors.
Johnson is No. 1 in the world rankings right now. He has won two events in 2019 and finished in the top 10 in seven of his 11 tournaments this year. DJ has one major to his credit, the 2016 U.S. Open. He has finished outside the top 10 in the last three PGA Championships.
Koepka is third in the world rankings. He is winless on the year, but has finished in the top 10 in four tournaments. Koepka is the defending PGA Championship winner. It was his third major of his career. He has finished first or second in three of the last four majors.
McIlroy is fourth in the world rankings. He has finished in the top 10 in eight of the nine tournaments he has played in this year. McIlroy is a four-time major champion and a two-time PGA Championship winner. His last major was in 2014.
