Koepka dominating PGA Championship
Brooks Koepka furthered his lead in the PGA Championship on Friday, making him the absolute favorite to win the second major of the year.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Brooks Koepka is now listed as a -400 favorite to win. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (14/1) and Jordan Spieth (16/1). The 2019 PGA Championship continues Saturday and Sunday from Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York
Koepka followed up his 7-under 63 on Thursday by posting a 5-under 65 on Friday to get to -12 for the tournament. He holds a 7-shot lead on the entire field entering the weekend. Koepka has won three majors in his career, including last year’s PGA Championship. He has finished second or better in three of the last four major events.
Johnson is one of five golfers that find themselves in fourth place. He is at -4 for the tournament after shooting a 3-under, 67 on Friday. DJ is a one-time major winner. He is coming off a second-place finish at Augusta.
Spieth is one of two golfers in second place at -5 for the tournament, joining Adam Scott (25/1). Spieth posted a 4-under, 66 on Friday while Scott shot a 6-under 64. Spieth is looking to complete the career grand slam. He has won three majors in his career and was 12th in last year’s PGA Championship.
Pre-tournament favorite Tiger Woods failed to make the cut, missing by one shot after shooting a 2-over, 72 on Friday. Woods finished the first two rounds at +5.
