The PGA Championship has completed its first round of action and a recent major winner is now favored.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Henrik Stenson is now the favorite with 5/1 odds while other short odds to win are Jason Day (6/1) and Martin Kaymer (9/1). The PGA Championship continues today-Sunday from Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey.

Stenson is coming off the British Open victory where he had a tremendous final round battle with Phil Mickelson. On Thursday, Stenson posted a 3-under 67. He is two shots behind leader Jimmy Walker. Walker posted a 65 on Thursday and now has 16/1 odds to win.

Day was the only of the Big Four to have a respectable opening round. He posted a 2-under 68. He is the defending PGA Championship winner.

Kaymer shot a 4-under 66 on Thursday to find himself in a three-way tie for second with Emiliano Grillo and Ross Fisher. Kaymer is a former PGA Champion and two-time major winner.
