According to the latest oddsmakers, Dustin Johnson is favored to win this week’s tournament, as he has 8/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Rory McIlroy (12/1) and Justin Thomas (14/1). The PGA Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri.
Johnson is No. 1 in the world rankings. He has three wins in 2018 and has finished first or third in four of his last five tournaments. Johnson has not won this event, but does have a major to his credit. He has finished in the top 10 of this event four times and has been in the top 10 in two of the three majors this year.
McIlroy is a two-time winner of the PGA Championship, last winning in 2014. He has finished in the top 10 of this event five times in his career. He is seeking his fifth major championship this weekend. McIlroy is currently fifth in the world rankings. He has one win in 2018 with eight top-10 finishes.
Thomas is the defending champion of the PGA Championship. It was his first major championship of his career. Thomas is currently second in the world rankings after winning the Bridgestone Invitational this past weekend. It was his second win of the year and seventh win over the last two years.
