PGA Championship odds: Jason Day a +300 favorite after second round

KOHLER, WI (TheSpread) – The second round of the 2015 PGA Championship concluded this morning and Jason Day has now emerged as the favorite to win despite not being the leader.

According to oddsmakers from GTBets, Day has +300 to win this weekend’s major while Jordan Spieth and Justin Rose have +450 odds to win and Matt Jones comes in with +500 odds. The PGA Championship continues today-Sunday from Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin.

Day is at -9 for the tournament after posting a 5-under 67 for his second round. He is currently in second on his own, two shots behind Jones for the lead. Day is looking to win his first-ever major championship.

Spieth had a strong second round to get into contention. He shot a 5-under 67 on Friday to get to -6 for the tournament, four shots out of the lead. He is looking to win his third major of 2015.

Rose is in third place at -8 overall after shooting a 5-under 67 in his second round. Rose is a former major winner.

Jones has the lead at -11 overall after posting a 7-under 65 in his second round. Jones is looking to win his first major championship. Jones came into the weekend with 300/1 odds to win.
