Jason Day PGA Odds
KOHLER, WI (TheSpread) – Jason Day has come very close to winning his first major championship this year. Will he finally break through and win this weekend’s PGA Championship?
According to the latest oddsmakers, Day is among the favorites to win this weekend, as he has 14/1 odds for the tournament. His over/under for finishing position this weekend has been set at 14.5, while his odds to be the top non-American or European golfer in the event is set at +190.
If not for the play of Jordan Spieth, Jason Day would be having one of the best years in golf in regards to major championship play. He finished a modest 28th at the Masters, but finished ninth at the U.S. Open and fourth in the British Open, finishing one shot out of a playoff. Spieth has yet to claim a major championship, but he has finished in the top 10 in nine different events. In the PGA Championship, Day has competed five times and finished in the top 10 twice, with a 15th-place finish last year. He has made the cut in 11 straight majors.
Day is currently fifth in the world rankings. He has had a strong 2015 season, winning a total of two events, including the RBC Canadian Open just a few weeks ago. He also has five other top-10 finishes this year and he has finished 12th or better in his last four events, which included the U.S. Open and British Open.
