Updated PGA Championship Odds
The PGA Championship is nearly halfway complete and some big names made a climb up the leaderboard on Friday.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Hideki Matsuyama is now the favorite to win the major, as he has +138 odds. Other short odds to win are Jason Day (+400) and Kevin Kisner (+500). The PGA Championship continues Saturday and Sunday from Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The second round was not finished before darkness due to some rain stoppages. Still, most of the field completed their second round. Matsuyama and Kisner find themselves tied for the lead right now at -8 overall.
Matsuyama made the big charge on Friday by shooting a 64. He is looking to win his first major, but he has finished in the top 15 of his last four majors. That includes a second-place finish at the U.S. Open and a fourth-place finish at the PGA Championship a year ago.
Kisner posted his second consecutive 67 to get to -8 for the tournament. Kisner is looking to win his first major championship. He has not finished in the top 10 in any of the 11 majors he has competed in.
Day finds himself two shots out of first place at -6 overall. Day shot a 5-under 66 on Friday. He was the 2015 PGA Championship winner and he finished second last year.
